The Chauvin Arnoux CA40 Gaussmeter was designed to measure low-frequency magnetic fields, which can cause electrical problems such as static and signal interruption. The digital gaussmeter is capable of measuring up to 199.9mG of radiation, and has three measurement ranges that allow the most accurate results. It can also detect frequencies of up to 300Hz. Its results are accurate to around 4%, although this may decrease in the higher measurement ranges. 

The Chauvin Arnoux CA40 Gaussmeter is incredibly easy to use thanks to its simple operating format. A switch on the front of the body is used to change the settings of the device. Additionally, the electromagnetic field meter uses a single probe to measure radiation, and the probe is easy to install and use. The digital gaussmeter uses a 13 millimetre LCD screen to deliver results clearly and quickly.

This device is very compact, measuring only 163 x 68 x 24 millimetres, meaning it is easy to operate with one hand. It is also very lightweight, as it weighs just 285g. As a result, this piece of equipment is perfect for those whose work requires a great deal of travelling.
